County Durham‐based Durham Electrics gets a Twitter Boost from Theo Paphitis

A County Durham‐based firm received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis. Last week, Katherine Blakey, EHS Director of Durham Electrics, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small

Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.

Theo re‐tweeted Katherine’s message to his 464,000 followers and as a result, the business

(www.durham-electrics.co.uk) has 300 more followers and extra enquiries for their electrical services. They are also profiled on a new website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Katherine Blakey said, “We’ve been in business a little over 6 years now and specialise in LED lighting conversion and installation across a broad spectrum of clients in the region. It is great to have support from Theo because it’s been tough trying to raise our profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
